CITRUS PECAN PIE WITH BLACK GARLIC & BLACK LEMON

INGREDIENTS
50g butter, softened
50g caster sugar
100g maple syrup
100g golden syrup
1 tsp The Original Black Garlic Powder
½ tsp The Original Black Lemon Powder
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs, beaten
100g pecan halves
190g sweet all-butter pastry
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/Gas 4.
Place the pastry case on a non-stick baking tray.
In a bowl, whisk together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the maple syrup, golden syrup, Black Garlic Powder, Black Lemon Powder, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.
Gradually add the beaten eggs, whisking continuously until fully incorporated.
Arrange the pecan halves in the pastry case in concentric circles.
Pour the syrup mixture over the pecans.
Bake for 30 minutes. The filling should still wobble slightly in the centre. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
