Black Garlic Tequila Prawns - NEW!

This is delicious as a tapas or a starter for two people.  Serve with some crusty bread to mop up the juices!

Ingredients

  • 200g raw peeled jumbo prawns
  • 2 teaspoons of piri-piri seasoning (available at supermarkets)
  • 2 cloves peeled black garlic- very finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of stir fry oil (vegetable oil can be substituted)
  • 2 tablespoons of Tequila
  • 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
  • Juice of one small lime

 

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the piri-piri seasoning on to the raw prawns and leave for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan.  Fry the prawns until pink and cooked.  This does not take much time at all.
  3. Once cooked, place the prawns on to a serving dish.
  4. Add all the other ingredients into the hot frying pan.  Boil briskly and reduce until the sauce is syrupy.
  5. Spoon the sauce over the prawns and serve immediately.
